How We Farm
Soil, water, pest management and varieties — each with its figure.
Every block is analysed twice a year — before planting and mid-season. Organic matter runs from 0.7% on sandy ground to 2.4% in Delta silt, and the organic programme targets a 0.1% annual rise on the sandy blocks. That is slow, and it is the only way it happens.
The clearest sustainability claim an Egyptian farm can make is a water-use figure per feddan. We publish one per crop. The current irrigation mix across the whole area is below, and we convert roughly 400 feddans a year from furrow to drip.

Field scouting twice weekly through the growing season. Predators and parasitoids are released under protection rather than spraying preventively. Spray records are kept per block with pre-harvest intervals, and a residue screen runs on a sample from every export consignment before it ships.
Our nursery covers internal requirement first. We trial four to six new varieties each season on one-feddan blocks, and no variety is expanded before two full seasons. Seed potato multiplication is supervised, with virus testing.
